Sofwave™ Treatment Steps
A Sofwave™ session will take less than an hour, depending on the extent of your treatment. Your clinician will first apply a topical cream to numb the area, which takes up to half an hour to take effect. Once you are comfortable, they will wipe off the cream and apply a coat of ultrasound gel. This gel allows the ultrasonic pulses to serve as a conductor between the device and the skin. They will then place the window of Sofwave™ directly onto your skin and administer each pulse similarly to a laser device. After just one pulse, they will move directly to an adjacent area. During the session, you will feel some warmth, but with the help of the topical anesthetic and Sofcool™, treatment is highly tolerable.
Recovery
