Santa Rosa, CA is one of the largest cities in Sonoma County. The city has a population of 178,391. It is the fifth most populated city in the Bay Area, with a population density of 4,200 people per square mile. The population of Santa Rosa has grown significantly over the past two decades. In 2010, the city updated its General Plan to a more comprehensive 2030 vision. This included the addition of future annexation land, as well as an extension of the planning period by ten years.
Located in northern California, the city of Santa Rosa is an ideal destination for visitors who enjoy the outdoors. Although the city does not receive a huge amount of snow in the winter, it does get some rain.
